Sausage Bread

  1. In large frying pan, put 3 tablespoons olive oil.
  2. Chop garlic and sautee for 1 minute.
  3. Pull sausage meat out of casing into bite size pieces and place into frying pan. I prefer the taste of the sausage when it comes from the links over the loose type. The bite size pieces look better in the slice as well.
  4. Sautee until pieces of sausage are browned. Drain fat off.
  5. Roll out the pizza dough (works best when nice and cold) to a square shape about 15 inches both long and wide.
  6. Spread tomato sauce all over the dough.
  7. Place slices of provolone cheese all over.
  8. Distribute the mozzarella cheese on top of the provolone.
  9. Place drained sausage on top of all of the above, evenly distributed.
  10. Roll sides in about 2 inches then roll the entire dough carefully making sure ingredients stay tucked in.
  11. Place rolled dough into a roasting pan that has been lightly greased with olive oil or Pam.
  12. Place a few slits in the top of the dough to let steam escape
  13. Bake at 350 for approximately 35-40 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. The crust will continue to brown after you take it out of the oven so don't let it get too dark.
  14. *You can also add peppers and onions if you want. Comes out yummy!
