Meaty Spaghetti
- 1 lb Ground Beef Lean
- 3/4 tube Jimmy Dean Hot Pork Sausage
- 1 24oz Jar Bertolli Organic Traditional Tomato Basil sauce
- 1 small yellow onion fine diced
- 1 small green pepper fine diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced or pressed
- 1 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 package Spaghetti Noodles (spaghetti rigatti preferred)
- In a large bowl, combine and mix ground beef, sausage, and Italian Seasoning.
- Place 1 to 2 Tbsp of Olive Oil in a large flat sauce pan, begin warming on medium-high. Roll the pan to coat the entire bottom, then add the onion, green pepper, and garlic. Saute 3-5 minutes, until most of the oil has been absorbed. Add the meat mixture and cook until the meat is completely browned. Drain and return to stove on lowest heat setting.
- Add spaghetti sauce and 1/2 cup of water. Cover and simmer 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- When ready to eat, cook spaghetti noodles per package directions.
