Macaroni Beef Skillet Dinner
- 1 c. elbow macaroni
- 1 c. diced onions
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire
- freshly ground pepper
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1 (8 oz.) can mushroom stems and pieces
- 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
- Cook the macaroni in boiling water according to package directions.
- Drain and set aside.
- Saute meat, onion and garlic in oil until the meat loses its pink color and onions are tender. Add pepper, tomato sauce, drained mushrooms, Worcestershire and Italian seasoning.
- Bring to a boil and simmer gently for about 5 minutes.
- Mix in the macaroni and simmer about 5 minutes more. Makes 8 servings at about 270 calories each.
