Martha'S Banana Bread
- 1 stick Butter
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 3 Bananas, very ripe, peeled and mashed with fork
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1 1/4 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon, ground
- 1/2-1 cups Walnuts, toasted and roughly chopped
- 1 heaping tablespoon Millet Seed
- Preheat Oven to 350. Spray a 9X5 bread pan with oil.
- Cream butter and sugar together.
- Mix in bananas, then eggs and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Add walnuts and millet seed.
- Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until well incorporated.
- Bake for one hour; check with toothpick at 50 minutes. Lower temperature to 300 and bake until toothpick comes out dry.
