Beef Stew
- 1 1/2 lb. beef stew meat, cut into 3/4 to 1-inch cubes
- 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. dried marjoram leaves
- 1/8 to 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 tsp. instant beef bouillon granules
- 2 1/2 c. hot water
- 1 1/2 c. thinly sliced carrots
- 2 medium onions, cut in eighths
- 2 medium potatoes, cut into 3/4-inch pieces
- Combine beef, flour, salt, marjoram and pepper in a 3-quart casserole.
- Stir to coat.
- Dissolve bouillon granules in hot water.
- Add to meat; cover.
- Microwave at High for 10 minutes; stir.
- Reduce power to Low.
- Microwave for 30 minutes.
- Stir in the vegetables; re-cover.
- Microwave at Low for 45 to 60 minutes or until meat and vegetables are tender, stirring 2 times.
- Serves 6 to 8.
