Grandma Addie'S Tomato Soup Cake
- 3/4 c. Crisco
- 1 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 can water
- 1 tsp. soda
- 3 c. flour
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1 1/2 c. cut raisins
- 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- enough powdered sugar to make firm
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Grease and flour tube or Bundt pan. Cream sugar and shortening.
- Combine soup with water and soda. Add to first mixture, alternating with dry ingredients.
- Stir in raisins and nuts.
- Pour into pan.
- Bake 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
- Check for doneness with clean toothpick.
- Frost with cream cheese frosting:
crisco, sugar, tomato soup, water, soda, flour, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, raisins, nuts, cream cheese, water, vanilla, powdered sugar
