Bow Ties With Sausage And Cream
- 16oz Bow Tie pasta (Farfalle)
- 1 1/2 lbs mild Italian sausage (9 sausages, casings removed)
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 1/2 C. onion, minced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 28oz diced tomatoes (2 cans), drained
- 1 1/2 C. whipping cream
- 1/2 C. flat leaf parsley, chopped fine
- salt
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook pasta about 3/4 of recommended time, drain.
- Cook sausage and pepper flakes in a large skillet over medium heat until sausage is evenly brown. Stir in onion and garlic and cook until onion is tender. Stir in tomatoes and cream. Simmer until mixture thickens, about 8 to 10 minutes (longer if necessary).
- Stir cooked pasta and most of the parsley into the sauce and heat through. Sprinkle with remaining parsley and serve.
