Meat Spaghetti Sauce
- 2 Lbs lean hamburger
- 1 medium yellow onion - chopped
- 1/2 green pepper - chopped
- 1 jalapeno pepper - finely chopped
- 2-3 cloves garlic - finely chopped
- 1 package McCormic spaghetti sauce mix
- large can crushed tomatoes
- oregano
- cayenne pepper
- salt
- pepper
- Brown hamburger in stockpot, seasoning with salt & pepper to taste (with 93% lean hamburger there will be little fat. Drain if desired) When meat is almost done, add onion, peppers, and garlic. Add seasoning packet and tomatoes. Let simmer for about 10 minutes. Add oregano and cayenne pepper (if desired) to taste. Turn heat to low and continue to simmer, being careful to stir occasionally.
- Serve with spaghetti or angel hair pasta.
