Kathe'S Low And Slow Pulled Pork Rub
- 1 Boston Butt roast, about 5 pounds
- 1 Cup Firmly Packed dark brown sugar
- 1/2 Cup granulated Garlic
- 1/2 Cup Kosher Salt
- 1/2 Cup Paprika
- 2 Tablespoons granulated onion
- 1 tablespoon dry mustard
- 1 tablespoon creole seasoning
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon ground red pepper
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
- Marinate pork in rub for 4-12 hours. Put in smoker at 200u0b0 fat side down. Don't open the smoker for at least 4 hours, it will probably take a couple of hours to get back up to 200u0b0 Leave in smoker until the internal temperature is at least 165u0b0. It should take 14-16 hours. Can spray with apple juice occasionally if desired.
