Bbq Sauce
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 3 Cups minced onion
- 1 1/2 Cup minced green pepper
- 3 Jalepeno peppers
- 3 pinches salt
- 3 pinches black pepper
- 6 Tbsp garlic
- 1 (84 oz can) Tomato sauce
- 6 Cups ketchup
- 3 cups water
- 1 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 3/4 cup lemon juice
- 3/4 cup molasses
- 3/4 cup spicy brown mustard
- 3/4 cup cayenne pepper sauce
- 2 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 3 tbsp chili powder
- 6 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp allspice
- 3 tbsp liquid smoke
- 1. Saute The vegetables in oil, add pinches of salt and pepper, add garlic last, saute until golden brown.
- 2. Add all liquid ingredients and stir together.
- 3. Add all seasoning to finish sauce.
- 4. Bring pot to boil then put it on simmer and let it simmer for about an hour to boil it down.
- 5. When at the proper consistency, do a final check for flavoring and seasoning before bottling. ( adjustment of seasoning is usually required)
