Turkey Stuffing Strata
- 2 cups left over stuffing*
- 1/2-3/4pound cooked sausage of your choice, drained well.
- 2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese.
- 5 eggs
- 2 cups milk (I used 2%)
- 1 teaspoon each sea salt and ground pepper
- 2 teaspoons bottled worcestershire sauce.
- 1 cup diced sauteed vegtables such as red or green bell peppers(optional)
- 1. Mix the bread and cheeses in a bowl.
- 2. Add the cooked sausage and vegtables (if you are using them).
- Spread this mixture in a lightly greased shallow glass 2-3 qt. baking dish.
- 3. Beat the eggs, add milk and the seasonings then pour over the bread mixture.
- 4. Refrigerate 1/2-24 hours.
- 5. Bake 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
- 6. Serve with sides of salsa, sour cream, yogurt, fresh fruit or a green salad.
