Apple Crisp
- 10 C. thinly sliced apples (6-7 Honey Crisp or Granny Smith apples)
- Mix together:
- 1/2 C. sugar
- 1/4 C. brown sugar
- 1 T. flour
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 C. quick cooking oats
- 1/4 C. water or apple juice
- Crump topping:
- 1/4 C. flour
- 1/2 C. brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 C. butter, melted
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place the sliced apples in a 9 x 13" pan. Mix sugars, 1 T. flour with added spices, and Oats together. Sprinkle over apples. Pour water evenly over all.
- Combine the topping ingredients: oats, 1/4 C. flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and melted butter together. Stir and crumble evenly over the apple mixture.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 45-60 min.
- If desired:
- Top with Whipped cream
- Pour over Caramel topping
