Chocolate Gingerbread Cookies

  1. Sift flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda and cocoa together.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Cream butter and ginger until light.
  4. Stir in molasses and 2 tablespoons sugar.
  5. Gradually add flour mixture into butter mixture.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
  7. Wrap dough in plastic and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
  8. Heat oven to 325u0b0F.
  9. Roll 1 tablespoon dough into ball with your palms and flatten into disks.
  10. Dip in crushed candy canes and remaining 2 tablespoons sugar.
  11. Place 2 inches apart on baking sheet.
  12. Bake 15 minutes.
  13. Cool.
