Tamale Pie

  1. Cut tamales into 1/2-inch slices and arrange in bottom of deep casserole (about 4-quart size).
  2. Layer with half the cooked ground beef.
  3. Sprinkle a layer of half the green chilies, half the corn, 1/2 the olives and 1/2 the onions.
  4. Repeat with tamale slices and so on.
  5. Top with shredded cheese and then an even covering of tomato sauce or salsa.
  6. Bake in a 350u0b0 oven, uncovered, for about an hour.
  7. Amounts of ingredients can be adjusted.
  8. Can be frozen and/or microwaved.
