Patsy'S Hot Mustard Barbecue Sauce
- 1 lemon, cut in half
- 1 1/2 c. Heinz ketchup
- 1 small jar honey Dijon mustard
- 2 c. yellow mustard
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 3 Tbsp. Wright's liquid smoke
- 1/2 c. sugar or more for personal taste
- 1/4 c. honey
- 1/4 c. white horseradish
- 2 large jalapeno peppers
- Place ketchup and both types of mustards (yellow and Dijon) in a medium saucepan.
- Add salt, black pepper and sugar; mix well. Add liquid smoke and stir again.
- Blend the horseradish and the jalapeno peppers in a blender with the vinegar.
- Blend for 1 minute until all ingredients are liquefied, then add to sauce. Squeeze the lemon juice directly into the pan, then add whole lemon to mixture.
- Blend well with other ingredients.
