Crock Pot: Spicy Pulled Pork Bbq
- t boneless pork shoulder roast, about 2 1/2 to 3 pounds
- t cup thinly chopped onion
- t bottle (12 ounces) barbecue sauce, your favorite (or combination of different kinds)
- t to 4 tablespoons honey, or to taste
- t tsp. Cayenne pepper
- t/2 teaspoon chili powder
- tandwich rolls
- Trip the fat off the pork and cut into 2 or 3 inch cubes. Place pork roast in a lightly greased 3 1/2 to 5-quart slow cooker. Place half of the chopped onion in the base of the crock pot followed by the pork then barbecue sauce, honey, and hot pepper. Cover and cook on LOW setting for 8 to 10 hours. Retrieve the pork with a slotted spoon and using two forks pull it apart on a cutting board. Once all of the pork is seperated put back into the crock pot for around 20 minutes. Serve on buns. Delicious with beans and coleslaw on the side!
