Chocolate Saltine Bark (Optional Bacon)

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F
  2. Line cookie sheet with saltine crackers in a single layer
  3. Chop nuts (and optional combine with bacon) - mix well
  4. In a saucepan, combine the brown sugar and butter. bring to a boil for 3 minutes.
  5. When it is bubbly and starts to thicken a bit, immediately pour over saltines and spread so that it covers crackers completely.
  6. Back for 5-6 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top.
  8. Put back in the oven for a few minutes to melt chips.
  9. Spread melted chocolate and top with chopped nuts/bacon mixture
  10. Cool completely and then break into pieces
