Applesauce Cake(Fruit Cake)

  1. Cream butter and shortening with sugar.
  2. Dissolve baking soda in hot water.
  3. Mix in order given.
  4. Bake in floured and greased tube cake pan at 350u0b0 for 1 3/4 hours or until done.
  5. Cake can be baked slower.
  6. It is moist and weighs about 5 pounds.
