Spicey Turkey Chilli
- 2 T vegetable oil
- 1 onion choipped
- 2 garlic cloves finely chopped
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 4 tsps chili powder
- 1 tbsp ground cumin
- 2 tsps dried oregano leaves
- 2 jalapeno peppers, sedded and chopped
- 1 1/2 cups crushed canned tomatoes
- 2 1/2 cups chicken stock
- 1 can pinto beens drained and rinsed
- 1 can black beans drained and rinsed
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- In a large suacepan, heat oil over medium heat. Add Onion and garlic. Saute until tender. Add Turkey, saute until no longer pink. Stir in spices, peppers, tomatoes and stock.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Uncover, add beans and simmer another 20 minutes until thickened.
