Double Chocolate Fudge Squares
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/3 c. butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
- In small bowl, mix flour and baking soda; set aside.
- In small saucepan, combine butter, sugar and water.
- Bring just to a boil; remove from heat.
- Add 1 cup chocolate pieces and vanilla; stir until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth.
- Transfer to a medium bowl.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Gradually add flour mixture, beating until smooth.
- Stir in remaining chocolate pieces and nuts.
- Spread in a greased 9-inch square pan.
- Bake at 325u0b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
- Cool completely before cutting.
