Aunt Ida'S Walnut Cake

  1. Cut cherries, raisins and pineapple into small pieces and put into a cup of Sherry and let stand overnight
  2. Combine vanilla, butter and sugar and mix until creamy
  3. Sift together all the dry ingredients and add to Sugar and butter mixture
  4. Add fruit and stir until combined
  5. Pour into a tube pan
  6. Bake 2hrs at 275deg
  7. Use straw test for doneness
