Barbecue Sauce
- 1 1/2 cups yellow onions (finely chopped yellow onions 1 large onion and the food processor works)
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 8 ozs tomato paste
- 1 cup cider vinegar
- 3/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup worcestershire sauce
- 3/4 cup dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsps chili powder
- 1 tbsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tbsp crushed red pepper (flakes)
- 1tn a large saucepan on low heat, saute the onions and garlic with the vegetable oil for 10 to 15 minutes, until the onions are translucent but not browned.
- 2tdd the remaining ingredients and bring to a low boil.
- 3timmer uncovered on low heat for 30 minutes. Use immediately or store in the refrigerator.
