Sour Cream Coffee Cake
- 3 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups sour cream
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 tablespoons vanilla
- 2 tablespoons water
- Nut Mixture
- 3/4 cups brown sugar
- 3/4 cups chopped walnuts
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- Mix nut mixture together, set aside.
- Grease tube pan. Sift flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Beat together butter and white sugar, until fluffy. Add vanilla, and eggs one at a time and beat well. Blend in sour cream and gradually add sifted ingredients, beat well.
- Place 1/3 cake batter in pan, then add half nut mixture, and repeat ending with cake batter. Mix vanilla and H2O, spoon over top (bottom of cake).
- Bake at 325 degrees for 60-70 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes.
