My Favorite Fish Recipe
- 2 large trout filets (fresh or thawed)
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 2 tsp butter
- 1 tsp ground pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 lemon
- aluminum foil
- optional: cayenne powder
- Heat grill to medium.
- In a small bowl mix sugar, ground pepper, salt and lemon zest.
- Lay filets on aluminum foil (skin down if present)
- Brush with honey until thinly coated across length of filets.
- Sprinkle powder mix evenly across filets.
- Squeeze lemon juice in a circle around filets.
- Place 1 tsp of butter on top of each filet.
- Fold aluminum foil to create a packet around fish.
- Place on medium grill for 15 minutes (longer if thicker filets). Flip packets and grill additional 10 minutes.
- Open packet and serve. Juice in packet can be poured over filets for added flavor.
- ***This recipe can also be cooked in the oven at 300.
