Overnight Easy French Toast Bake
- 5 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/8 cup brown sugar
- 1/8 cup white sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. cinammon
- 8 slices of plain white bread
- or challah bread
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/8 cup maple syrup
- *optional: extra maple syrup
- Grease and flour a 9x13 baking pan.
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, sugars, vanilla and cinnamon.
- Lay slices of bread in a single layer in pan.
- Dot with pats of butter and pour 1/2 of maple syrup over. Repeat to make a second layer. Pour egg mixture over entire dish, dot with remaining butter, cover, and refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown and somewhat firm.
- Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
