Mom'S Rice
- 4 - Cups Water
- 2 - Envelopes Lipton's Chicken Noodle Soup
- 2 - Tablespoons Kitchen Bouquet
- 1 - Tablespoon sugar
- 1 - Stick / salted butter
- 2 - Cups Mullers Fine Noodles
- 2 - Cups Uncle Bens Rice
- First:
- Put water into 4qt pot, put on high heat
- Add next 3 ingredients and bring to boil
- Meanwhile:
- Add butter to 6 qt saute pan & put on medium high heat
- After butter has melted, add Fine Noodles and brown.
- Then add the rice and coat with butter and slightly brown.
- Next:
- When liquid mixture is boiling & rice is browned, add liquid very carefully to the saute pan, combine and let flash boil.
- Cover 50%, lower heat to lowest setting and set timer for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes stir and cover tight for 30 minutes. During this period don't look into the pan & don't even say the word "rice"! Scrap burned crisp from the bottom and yout good to go!
