Kofta (Meatball )Curry
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 large onion
- 3 tbsp yoghurt
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1/2 tin peeled tomatoes chopped
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 5-6 potatoes peeled and cut in to pieces
- 1/ tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp coriander
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 2 tsp garam masala
- salt and pepper
- red chilli powder to taste
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- lemon juice to taset
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 12/ tsp coriander
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 12/ tsp garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp ginger past
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- chopped green chilies to taste salt and pepper
- Heat oil in pan and fry onions until golden. Add tomatoes and cook 5 minutes. Add next 7 ingredients except (coriander leaves, garam masala and lemon) with a little water and cook potatoes until half cooked. Mix all the meat ingredients and form small meatballs. Add to pan and simmer 10 minutes until meat is cooked through and potatoe sare tender. Add garam masala and lemon juice. Garnish with coriander.
