Romanian Stuffed Cantaloupe(Pepene Galben Umplut)

  1. Peel and seed and cube the apples peaches, plums and pears, slice grapes in half.
  2. Place all fruit in a large bowl and mix with 1 Tbsp. of sugar.
  3. Cut a slice off the top of the cantaloupe large enough to remove seeds with a spoon.
  4. After seeded place all fruits inside the cantaloupe, press fruit in gently so it fits.
  5. In a small saucepan heat wine and remaining sugar to a bowl, add gelatine and mix well until it dissolves well, add vanilla.
  6. When mixture cools pour into cantaloupe to cover fruits, place in refrigerator for 2-4 hours or until well chilled.
  7. Cut cantaloupe in half and then into slices.
  8. Serve.
