Sang'S Korean Bbq Chicken
- Lots of boneless chicken. Thighs stay moister. Cut thicker pieces of
- thighs in half across it's width, and spread open (like butterflying a
- pork shop) so the chicken is all about the same thickness.
- Mix together:
- 7 Cloves Garlic, Crushed
- 1 Thumb Ginger, Chopped (about 2.5 Tbl)
- 3/4 C/ Sugar
- 1 C Soy Sauce
- 3Tbl Lemon Juice
- Mix all but garlic into chicken and knead like bread (!!?)
- Add:
- Garlic
- 1.5 T Pepper
- 1/2 C Sesame Oil
- 1/2 C. Sugar
- Sauce:
- Boil one small jar of commercial BBQ sauce
- 1 tsp Korean hot pepper
- (to taste) and about
- 1/4 cup sugar.
- Marinate chicken overnight.
- Grill outside on high for about 4 minutes per side.
- Boil sauce ingredients about 3 minutes.
- Spoon about 1 tsp of sauce over each piece of chicken as it comes off the
- grill. The sauce should be used very sparingly so it doesn't overwhelm
- the chicken.
