Chop Suey

  1. Brown meat in butter; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  2. Cover meat with water; steam for 30 minutes.
  3. Add 1/4 cup water to butter.
  4. Add celery, green peppers and onion.
  5. Cover and steam 5 or 8 minutes.
  6. Combine vegetables with the meat.
  7. Add mushrooms, Chinese molasses and sauce.
  8. Add cornstarch mix.
  9. Cook until boiling point.
  10. Cook gently for about 5 minutes.
