Sunday Sausage
- 3 cups celery, chopped
- 1/2 large onion, chopped
- 4 green onions, chopped
- 1/2 large green pepper, chopped
- 3 cups rice, cooked
- 2 pkgs (4.2 oz) dehydrated chicken noodle soup
- 3 cups boiling water
- 1 lb pork sausage
- 1 small jar pimentos
- 1/2 cup water chestnuts, sliced
- 1 stick margarine
- Cook rice as directed.
- (Note: 1 large bag of Success rice equals 3 cups cooked rice.)
- Prepare the celery, onions and green pepper. Saute in margarine, stirring constantly until slightly tender. Drain on paper towel.
- Add soup to boiling water and let stand. Brown sausage until redness is gone.
- Drain on paper towel.
- Mix all ingredients together in large bowl.
- Place in 9 x 13 casserole dish and bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes.
