Glorified Chicken

  1. Skillet:
  2. In skillet over medium heat, in hot oil cook chicken 10 minutes or until browned on all sides.
  3. Spoon off fat.
  4. Stir in soup, pepper and thyme.
  5. Reduce heat to low.
  6. Cover; simmer 35 minutes or until chicken is fork-tender, stirring occasionally. Oven:
  7. Substitute 1 tablespoon melted margarine for oil.
  8. In 12 x 8-inch baking dish arrange chicken skin side up.
  9. Drizzle with margarine.
  10. Bake at 375u0b0 for 40 minutes.
  11. Spoon soup, pepper and thyme over chicken.
  12. Bake 20 minutes more or until chicken is fork-tender.
  13. Stir sauce before serving.
  14. Skillet cook time is 45 minutes; oven cook time is 60 minutes.
