Beef Paprikash With Fusilli
- 700 g sirloin tip steak, cut into 2.5 cm strips
- 2 tbs olive oil
- 2 onions, sliced
- 1 red horn pepper, sliced
- 2 tbs paprika
- 2 cups beef broth, from 1 cube
- 2/3 cup sour cream
- Parsley, chopped
- 400 g pasta (fusilli)
- Marinade:
- 4 tbs soy sauce
- 4 tbs balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 tsp garlic granules
- 1/2 tsp dry basil
- 1. For the marinade, mix and combine all ingredients. Marinate steak strips for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- 2. Brown the steak in the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, 5 to 7 minutes.
- 3. Add the onions, pepper and paprika and cook, tossing, until softened, 4 to 6 minutes.
- 4. Add the beef broth and simmer until thickened, 10 to 12 minutes; stir in the sour cream.
- 5. Meanwhile, cook the fusilli pasta according to the package directions, drain.
- 6. Serve the steak over the fusilli pasta and top with the parsley.
