Gran'S Chicken Salad
- 1 # boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- BOIL:
- 1 tsp lemon peel
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp meat tenderizer
- 1 tsp onion powder
- SALAD:
- 1/4 finely diced onion
- 1/3 c sour cream
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/2 tsp grated lemon peel
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 c chopped celery
- 1/4 c chopped walnuts
- dash black pepper
- Place chicken in sauce pot and just cover with water. Add BOIL ingredients and simmer about 30 minutes, until chicken is no longer pink. Drain and allow to cool before shredding and/or chopping meat. Mix remaining ingredients well and chill at least one hour before serving.
