Fettuccine Supreme

  1. Beat cream cheese and 1/4 cup softened butter on low speed of electric mixer until blended.
  2. Add parsley, basil and pepper; mix well.
  3. Add boiling water; beat until mixture is smooth.
  4. Cook fettuccine according to package directions; drain well.
  5. Saute garlic in 1/4 cup melted butter in a small skillet until tender. Combine garlic mixture and warm noodles, tossing gently.
  6. Add cream cheese mixture and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese; toss gently. Place in serving dish; sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese.
  7. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
