Overnight Layered Green Salad
- 1 head lettuce
- 1/2 c. thinly sliced green onions
- 1 c. thinly sliced celery
- 1 c. sliced water chestnuts
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
- 1 1/2 to 2 c. mayonnaise
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 3 hard-cooked boiled eggs, chopped
- 3/4 lb. bacon, chopped and crisp
- 3 thinly sliced tomatoes
- Shred the lettuce and place in a shallow 9 x 13-inch serving glass dish. Top lettuce with green onions, then celery and water chestnuts. Open the package of frozen peas and break apart. Sprinkle frozen peas evenly over salad.
- Spread mayonnaise evenly over the top. Sprinkle with sugar, Parmesan cheese, seasoned salt and garlic powder. Cover and chill in refrigerator for as long as 24 hours.
