Easy And Simple Tuna Salad
- 2 cans water-packed tuna, well drained
- 1 tablespoon minced onion
- 1 tablespoon celery flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
- 1 tablespoon sweet relish
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 or 3 hard-boiled eggs, finely chopped (optional,
- if desired)
- If using dry minced onion, mix with celery flakes and equal amounts water in a small bowl and rehydrate 5-10 minutes. If only the celery flakes are dry, rehydrate them with an equal amount of water for the same length of time.
- Drain tuna well, using spoon
- to squeeze out excess liquid from tuna in cans; add tuna to a small refrigerator storing container with lid.
- Mix in onion, celery flakes,
- lemon-pepper seasoning, sweet relish and mayonnaise. Stir well.
- If using chopped hard-boiled eggs, add and stir until just blended.
- Cover storage container and refrigerate at least 2 hours or more so that flavors are developed and blended. This is even better the next day.
