Apple-Cranberry Dessert
- 2 12 oz. fresh or frozen cranberries or pitted tart red cherries
- 2 c. chopped, peeled cooking apples
- 2 tbsp. butter, cut up
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 3/4 c. butter, melted
- 1 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. flour
- Vanilla ice cream
- 1. Preheat oven to 325. Greese bottom of 13x9x2 pan. Toss the cranberries and apples together in pan. Dot cranberry mkixture with 2 tbsp. butter. Sprinkle evenly with the 1 1/4 c. sugar and the finally chopped nuts.
- 2. In a med mixing bowl whisk together the eggs, tghe 3/4 c. melted butter, the 1 c. sugar and the flour until well combined. Pour evenly over top of cranberry mixture.
- 3. Bake, uncovered, for 1 to 1 1/4 hours or until top is golden brown. Serve warm (cool about 30 minuted)A or at room temp with vanilla ice cream.
