Dutch Baby With Apples
- 2 Tbs. Butter
- 2 Tbs. Brown Sugar
- 1 Tsp. Cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. Cloves (if desired)
- 2 large tart apples, sliced thin
- Pam
- 2/3 C. Flour
- 2/3 C. Milk
- 2 large eggs
- Preheat the oven to 425
- In a cast iron skillet, melt the butter. Add the brown sugar & cimmamon, and stir till it begins to bubble. Add apple slices and cook for 2 minutes.
- Put skillet into oven while preparing the egg mixture (about 5 minutes).
- Use a blender, food processor, or whisk to beat milk and eggs. Add flour, and mix just until blended.
- Remove the skillet from the oven, and spray PAM around edges of pan.
- Pour egg mixture over the top of the apples.
- Return to oven and bake for 15 minutes.
- It should puff up, and turn a nice golden brown. Let it set for a few minutes before cutting and serving.
