Clementine'S Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1-1/4 cups margarine (2-1/2
- sticks) at room
- temperature
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1-1/2 cups unsifted flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- 3 cups uncooked oats
- 1 12 oz bag GHIRARDELLI
- Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- Optional: 1 cup chopped walnuts
- Heat oven to 375u0b0 F. Cream margarine with sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir flour with baking soda, salt and spices; add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats. Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts (optional). Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8 to 9 minutes for a chewy cookie, 10 to 11 minutes for a crisp cookie. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire cooling racks. Store in tightly covered container.
