Sweet And Sour Beans

  1. Fry bacon until crisp; set aside and crumble.
  2. Slice onions thin.
  3. Separate in rings and cook in bacon fat until tender. (Drain about half of the fat off first.)
  4. Stir in sugar, vinegar, mustard, garlic powder and salt.
  5. Simmer 20 minutes.
  6. Drain all beans, except pork and beans.
  7. Combine with onion mixture and bacon.
  8. Bake in a casserole or bean pot for 1 hour at 350u0b0.
  9. This makes a lot but it freezes well.
