Sweet And Sour Meatballs

  1. In large saucepan or soup pot, combine chili sauce, ketchup, jelly, brown sugar, lemon juice and onion.
  2. Warm over medium to low heat.
  3. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, salt, tomato sauce and bread crumbs.
  4. Roll mixture into small meatballs.
  5. Add meatballs to sauce gradually and cook over medium heat for 35 to 40 minutes or until done, turning carefully from time to time so the meatballs don't break up.
  6. Refrigerate overnight to let flavors "marry".
  7. Skim off any fat that settles on top.
  8. When ready to serve just rewarm.
