Mom'S Lemon Spareribs
- 4 LBS. SPARERIBS
- 1 CUP KETCHUP
- 3/4 CUP CHILI SAUCE
- 1/4 CUP BROWN SUGAR
- 2 TBSP. PREPARED MUSTARD
- 2 TBSP. WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE
- 1 TBSP. CELERY SEEDS
- 2 CLOVES GARLIC, MINCED
- 1/4 TSP. SALT
- 1/8 TSP. HOT PEPPER SAUCE
- 1 CUP THIN ONION SLICES
- 3/4 CUP THIN LEMON SLICES
- Cut spareribs into serving pieces, arrange in 13 1/2 by 8 3/4" baking dish lined with foil. Bake at 450 degrees for 30 minutes. Drain. In 1-quart saucepan, combine ketchup, chill sauce, sugar, mustard, worcestershire sauce and seasonings. Mix well. Simmer, stirring occasionally. Pour ketchup mixture over ribs, top with lemon and onions. Cover tightly with aluminum foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
