Bacon Wrapped Green Beans

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Cut off both ends of the green beans so they are now equal in length.
  3. Boil 3-4 cups of water in a small sauce pan and add beas. Boil for about 6-7 minutes or until beans are slightly cooked. Remove from heat and drain.
  4. Cook the bacon strips until almost done - so they are still soft enough to easily be wrapped around the green beans without breaking.
  5. Once the bacon is cool enough to handle, wrap one piece around 5-6 green beans.
  6. I like to make sure that I can lay the wrapped beans down on a baking sheet with the end of the bacon underneath, so it doesn't fall apart while cooking. Once the wraps are baked with the brown sugar glaze, the bacon will stick together well and hold it's shape.
  7. Place your wrapped beans on a baking sheet, leaving at least an inch in between each one.
  8. Heat butter in a sauce pan on medium high and add garlic, then brown sugar. Stir for 3-4 minutes or until thoroughly combined.
  9. Cover each green bean wrap with 1 1/ 2 - 2 tsp of glaze.
  10. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until bacon is crisp and serve hot!
