Baked Chocolate Pudding
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 4 1/2 tsp. cocoa
- 2 Tbsp. melted Crisco
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 4 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 c. water
- Sift all dry ingredients together.
- Combine Crisco, vanilla and milk.
- Add dry ingredients and mix well.
- Add nuts and mix.
- Pour into greased baking dish (5 x 9-inch or 8-inch square).
- Cover with this mixture.
- Mix together 1/2 cup sugar, brown sugar and 4 tablespoons cocoa.
- Sprinkle over batter in dish.
- Pour 1 cup water over all.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 40 minutes or until done.
- If you use a glass dish, bake at 325u0b0.
- Tastes best while warm and you can add ice cream if desired.
