Tailgate Thai Tea With A Twist
- 6 cups water
- 12 green tea bags
- 1 stick ( 3 inches) cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp minced ginger root
- 1 can ( 14 ounces) light unsweetened coconut milk
- 1 can (11.5 ounces) mango nectar
- 1/4 cup snipped mint
- 1 Tbsp finely chopped lemongrass
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 1 Tbsp lemon peel twists
- 1 tsp black sesame seeds
- Bring water to a boil in a large saucepan. Add the tea bags, cinnamon stick, and ginger root. Remove from the heat, cover, and let steep 10 minutes. Meanwhile place the coconut milk, nectar, mint, lemongrass and honey in a blender container and blend till smooth. Strain both the tea and the coconut milk mixture into a large bowl; mix well. Add the lemon twists and sesame seeds. Cover and chill till cold. Fill the thermos bottle(s) to transport to the tailgate party.
