Wasabied Steak Noodles
- 8 oz strip steak
- 1/4 tsp powdered Ginger
- 1/4 tsp. granulated garlic
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 4 oz egg noodles wide or extra wide
- 2 tsp olive oil
- sprinkle granulated garlic
- sprinkle powdered ginger
- 2 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp wasabi powder
- 1 tsp water
- 2 TBS soy sauce
- salt to taste
- Prep - 5 minutes, cook time - 15 minutes.
- Bring 4 cups of water to a boil for the pasta. Wash steak, pat dry. Rub both sides with Ginger, Garlic and pepper. Heat a stovetop grill, grill pan or heavy duty fry pan over med-high heat. Cook beef until med rare - usually 4-5 min. per side, depending on thickness. Remove steak from pan and let rest while cooking the noodles. Cook the egg noodles in the boiling water, 6-7 min. Drain the noodles, toss with olive oil and a sprinkle of garlic and ginger. Add the rice vinegar and toss to coat. Mix the wasabi powder with water, stir to blend, mix with soy sauce. Cube the steak in bite sized pieces and add to the noodles. Drizzle with wasabi-soy mix and toss again to combine the steak and noodles. Salt to taste and serve.
