Health Muffins

  1. Add boiling water to soda, then add oil and any spices.
  2. Cool to lukewarm.
  3. Now add sugar and eggs; mix well. Set aside. Combine flour, cereals, wheat germ, raisins and nuts in a huge bowl.
  4. Pour in lukewarm mixture, then add buttermilk.
  5. Stir only enough to moisten. Batter will keep in sealed container for up to 6 weeks in refrigerator or bake muffins and freeze.
  6. Bake at 375u0b0 for 20 minutes. Fill muffin tins to 2/3 full only.
