Geek Fuel: A Breakfast Casserole

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Brush bottom and sides of a 16x12 inch aluminum baking pan with melted butter. Unroll crescent dough, making sure the dough comes up about a 1/2 in. onto the sides of the pan, and pressing seams together to make a solid sheet of dough.
  2. Brown up the sausage in a large skillet, throwing in the onions as soon as you've gotten the sausage loosened up into crumbles. Remove from heat and let cool, soaking up extra grease with paper towels.
  3. In a large bowl, beat all 12 eggs with a pinch of salt and a dash of pepper until they're a little lighter in color and there are no loose egg whites. Add green peppers to eggs and stir to incorporate.
  4. Spread sausage mixture evenly over crescent dough. Slowly pour the egg mixture on top of that, as evenly as possible.
  5. Top with cheese, cover with aluminum foil, and bake at 325 for 40-50 minutes.
