All-Bran Refrigerator Rolls
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. All-Bran
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 cake yeast
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 3 c. flour
- Mix shortening, boiling water, sugar, All-Bran and salt, stirring until shortening is melted.
- Let stand until mixture is lukewarm.
- Add eggs, then the yeast softened in 1/2 cup lukewarm water.
- Add flour.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Cover bowl and place in refrigerator overnight or until ready to use.
- Roll the dough out 1/4 inch thick and cut into 2 1/2-inch circles.
- With the dull edge of a knife, make a crease just to one side of center.
- Brush with melted butter and fold large side over.
- Press edges securely and place on a greased baking sheet 1 inch apart.
- Let rise 2 hours.
- Bake at 400u0b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
- Makes 4 dozen.
